This "static play", written in 1915, has moved me profoundly. This suspension between the dream and the reality, this engagement between the words and the silence, this perpetual research for a meaning which cannot be found in the space where there is no more time, for the first time made me perceive 'the text' in a different way.
With my space disposition I would like to underline 'unreal' nature of characters, situations and places, giving them a kind of pictorial character with a vague reference to the mythology invented by a painter of the Italian renaissance so as to enable the audience to enter in an order of archetypes and to make them get out from the notion of space and time.
I see the text as the music and looks as the dance.
