In an era in which the notion of 'private' has been lost, not in the sense of property of course, but in the sense of the relation of oneself to his inner-self, of oneself to the invisible, or better, to the visible that we obstinately refuse to see.
In an era that has destroyed every form of learning apart learning about profit, the era that little by little devastated every doctrine passed on to us.
In an era when there is no more place for poets, no more time to think about death. In that very era, where everything is meant only to entertain, where the art is too often a mere distraction, it seems to me that the only possible contemporary art is something that makes us go back to ourselves, to that part of ourselves which has been forgotten for far too long.
