“In silence I am able to grasp the blowing wind from the mountains. My back then becomes a starry sky, the Milky Way of the spine, and my stomach, a dark valley where a new sun rises every morning. Allowing the flow between front and back, top and bottom, the space on the right and the space on the left, the center and the outskirts, I escort the voice of Nature. In this work with the Junior Ballet, I wanted to underline the search for this subtle state that feeds and supports movement, gesture and dynamics. In order to open a real space for creation, I brought the dancers to the edge of emptiness, facing this blank page, where, through abandonment, the unknown is transformed into dance. With intuition and inspiration we acquire this subtle thread that connects us to all that exists. All of the choreographic material surged from the dancer’s bodies, in tune to the piece’s desire to narrate itself.”
